Here is my final poem for NaPoWriMo. It's called:
'Paper Flowers and a Painted mask.'
Butterflies flutter through exhausts.
Crystalised oxygen glittering in starlight.
Final breaths gasped through pale lips.
Glazed eyes flicker. Skin fades.
Final drops pour and lay on sordid ground.
Spindle fingers grasp to white strands.
Paper flowers quiver in the wind.
Linger in doorways that lead to darkness.
Let the rivers flow down your cheeks.
Choke back a gulp.
no one can hear the silence in your heart.
Place this mask a top your eyes.
Let it hide you.
Cover the bruises with a smile,
Allow the world to laugh.
Never stop.
Don't Blink.
You can't be left behind.
